The Chevy Camaro is one of the best and most popular modern-day muscle cars. Its sleek design turns heads and reminds people of the blockbuster movie Transformers. The Camero has top rating performance levels and is a thrill for anyone to drive.
Pros
This vehicle was built for speed. The 300 horsepower engine takes the car from zero to sixty in only six seconds. Even though it has a powerful engine, it gets good gas mileage which will ultimately save you at the pump.
The Camaro 1LT also comes with many safety enhancements. Along with the usual airbags, OnStar is included for free for one year. OnStar will give you directions, call for medical assistance if you are in an accident, unlock your doors and will also track your car if your vehicle is stolen. There is also an oil-life monitor that will alert you when your oil is low or needs to be changed. A tire pressure monitor makes sure all your tires are properly inflated. The Camaro 1LT includes a traction control system and antilock disc brakes to make driving safer.
After buying a Camaro 1LT, you will have a three month free trial of XM radio. This muscle car includes a CD/MP3 player, music navigator and graphic information display. With an available Boston Acoustics Premium nine-speaker sound system (245-watts), you can blast some serious music. Not only will people see you coming in a sleek car, but they will hear you as well.
Cons
One major con is the Camaro has many blind spots. It is difficult to park and back out of tight spots. A rear parking assist is available but does not come standard for the 1LT. Another con is the small trunk opening. It is difficult to fit large objects like golf clubs through the opening. The Camaro also lacks an impressive interior. Heated seats are not available, and a sunroof does not come standard.
Reviews
Drivers love this car because of its power and good looks. The Camaro 1LT is fun to drive and draws jealous glances. It is quite on the road, even when driven at high speeds. Two customers commented that the paint has been chipping along the doors and the front end of the car. One owner tried to use a mask to protect the front end, but the car has an unusual shape so the mask did not fit correctly. To read more reviews, visit Edmunds.
